These sorts of articles are everywhere at the moment and if they're telling me anything it's that winter is dull and your wardrobe should be duller still. Autumn/winter signals the onslaught of rails upon rails of blacks, greys, maroons, and navys and it's enough to make me want to hibernate. Winter is many things. It's dark, it's cold, it's a time when strangers cough at you on public transport with a dead look in their eyes. But it's also the season which plays host to Halloween, Bonfire night, Christmas, and the time of year when tiny dogs in coats abound. It's a celebratory, festive season so why must we dissolve into a sea of grey marl?
